How Does an Umbrella Company Work?

As a leading umbrella service providers, PAJ Umbrella strives to provide two distinct functions to our clients, namely acting as employers for contractors and freelancers and working with agencies to provide efficient payroll services while ensuring complete compliance. Our process is designed to ensure the most straightforward process for all our clients, including accountants and agencies, and is tailored to suit your unique needs and goals. • Once you have secured a contract or freelance role, we will act as your ‘employer’, signing a contract of employment with your agency while you sign a contract of employment with us.
• You will complete a timesheet on a weekly or monthly basis, sending this sheet to us as well as your recruitment agency.
• We will invoice your agency, and your agency will invoice your clients
• Once we receive payment, we will process your payroll and pay your salary

As we process your payroll, we will make all the necessary deductions, including tax, Employee’s National Insurance, Employer’s National Insurance, Employee’s Pension Contribution, Employer’s Pension Contribution, Administration Contribution, and any other relevant deductions.
